Summary

The IENAI SPACE 360™ is a mission analysis tool with cutting-edge space mobility analysis capabilities. It is based on a high-fidelity flight dynamics propagator, coupled to a heuristic optimization algorithm which enables a wide range of concurrent engineering and design functionalities.

IENAI SPACE team understands the challenges customers face with current mission analysis software. They often demand extensive training, consume valuable time for simulation preparation, and frequently fall short in delivering pinpoint-accurate models, especially in low-thrust maneuvers design (or planning, or optimization). The complexity and lack of flexibility can be frustrating.

That's why INEAI SPACE has introduced 360™, a revolutionary solution designed to simplify and enhance your mission analysis experience. Say goodbye to complexity and hello to a user-friendly platform that provides the flexibility you've been longing for to precisely represent your mission.

Ready to experience the future of mission analysis? Request a trial of 360™ today! IENAI will not only grant you access to a free trial but also offer expert support to tackle that challenging case study that's been keeping you up at night. our next mission is about to become easier than ever before.

Key features

360™ follows the company’s base philosophy of adapting the product to the specific client and mission. Therefore, the tool allows enough flexibility to go from preliminary mission concept definitions to highly accurate simulations with which it is possible to perform requirements validation and operations planning. The main features that can be used to solve any of the two kinds of problems mentioned above are the following:

  • Tunable high-fidelity environment models: gravity, drag, solar radiation, third body perturbations, etc.
  • Spacecraft builder: black box approach vs. fully customizable, COTS components, detailed propulsion models
  • Behaviors modelling: spacecraft modes for pointing, propulsion, payload operations, ground station contacts, etc.
  • Plotting and visualization: spacecraft parameters, ground tracks, operations

By means of combining all the features and characteristics available in 360™, it is possible to include in any analysis or optimization constraints related to both the platform (ex. battery discharge limitations, modeling the propulsion system behavior accurately, etc.) and the mission (for example, firing only in sunlight, model downlink, etc.)

Capabilities and architecture: 360™ unique architecture solves two main types of problems:

  • Propagation problems – the core of 360™ is a high-fidelity, computationally efficient flight dynamics propagator that uses an energy-based optimization algorithm for propulsive maneuvers
  • Design and optimization problems –  360™’s core is wrapped by a genetic algorithm that allows to perform spacecraft concurrent design and optimize maneuvers and operations in a powerful and intuitive manner.

On top of that, 360™ is deployed on the cloud so that it does not require any resources on the client side.

Case studies - 360™ can be used for:

  • Maneuvers analysis and simulation (de-orbit, orbit phasing, station keeping, etc.) for both single and multiple spacecraft, allowing you to rapidly iterate on ΔV and propellant budgets
  • Power usage and attitude system effort analysis, enabling analysis for both early budgeting phases and high-fidelity simulations (digital twin)
  • Spacecraft concurrent design: 360™genetic algorithm solver allows to select different spacecraft subsystems (propulsion systems, batteries, solar panels, etc.) and their properties, performing automated trade-offs between your design iterations
  • Maneuvering strategy optimization, including spacecraft pointing (for both chemical and electric propulsion systems)
  • Operations planning and optimization (use the behavior modelling to plan ground station contacts, thruster operations - coasting, warm up, max. thrust-, and much more!)
  • Constellation performance analysis and optimization, including constellation parameters selection and optimal deployment (launcher selection and maneuvering strategies).

Key advantages:

  • Fast learning curve: 360™ makes mission analysis and space mobility easier than ever, Beta users reported that the familiarization process was at most 8h
  • Versatility: 360™ is versatile enough to cover most of the typical ECSS phases of space project: Customers can use 360™ to derive and refine requirements, perform operational concepts trade, plan their operations, and verify by analysis, for example
  • Focus on space mobility: the space mobility problem is a highly complex problem in which the propulsion system has many interdependencies with the spacecraft and mission. 360™ allows you to have a holistic view of the problem and explore it easily and effectively
  • Flexibility: 360™ provides a web-based graphical interface (containing user-friendly wizards and visualization modules) and pre-defined analysis functions for the least experienced users, alongside direct access to the low-level functionalities for the more advanced and experienced users
  • Optimization: while most of the tools currently available focus on the simulation component, 360™ provides a powerful and easy-to-use interface to optimize the mission, operations, and systems design in a more automated manner
  • Operations behavior simulation: 360™’s modular approach allows to model and define interactions between operations with high accuracy and includes any level of complexity in the mission simulation
  • Dynamic and customer-driven: at IENAI SPACE we understand that each client has their specific needs so we focus on providing a personalized experience in which we are closely in contact with our clients to assess them
